IDBF 30th Anniversary Photo Competition

 

Submission Guidelines and Conditions of Entry

​1. Competition starts Monday 15 February 2021 UTC 00:00 and ends Saturday 8 May 2021 UTC 23:59.

2. There are six categories in total. Competition entries for each category open and close every fortnight on the following dates:

1.Generations (15 to 27 February)
2. Seasons (1 to 13 March)
3. Abstract (15 to 27 March)
4. Emotions (29 March to 10 April)
5. Action (12 to 24 April)
6. Pets (26 April to 8 May)

3. Entry is free and open to anyone.

4. Entries from persons under 18 must have parent/guardian consent.

5. Each entry (post) must contain one photo only. Multiple photos under a single entry (post) will not be accepted – including stitched, collage and montage style photos.

6. Multiple entries (of single posts) will be accepted.

7. Photos (images themselves) must not include any added text.

8. Photos must be of print quality (300 dpi minimum). Images that are not clear, will not be accepted.

9. To enter, you must:

    1. Create your own post on the IDBF Facebook page. The photo must be submitted under the IDBF public posts (under the “Community” tab or “Create Post” section). Photos under the comments section will not be accepted.
    2. Include a title or a short sentence about the photo.
    3. Include the following hashtags: #dragonboat, #idbf, #idbf30 and your club hashtag (if any).

10. It is the responsibility of entrants to obtain the permission of the persons/subjects in the photo.

11. Photos that contravene Facebook’s Community Standards Policy and Facebook Warnings on Photos will be removed and deemed ineligible to enter.

12. At the end of each fortnight, the top three to five photos by ‘likes’ (including other reactions) will be shortlisted. In the event of a tie, up to five photos may be shortlisted.

13. Shortlisted entries will be announced on IDBF’s Facebook page within a week of the category closing and will also have their photo published in the forthcoming IDBF 30th Anniversary book.

14. By posting a photo on the IDBF Facebook page, the entrant grants permission to IDBF to copy and publish their submission (photo or text) or part of it for any purpose relating to the competition and IDBF’s 30th Anniversary celebrations. The IDBF may publish the entrants photo on their website, social media sites, and in any print or digital publications.

15. Photos will be credited wherever the images are used.

16.Winners of each category will be decided by IDBF and announced on 31 May 2021 via the IDBF Facebook page. All decisions are final.

17. Each winner will receive a copy of the IDBF 30th Anniversary book.

18. All entrants may be requested to submit their original photo(s) by email.

19. Submitting a photo on the IDBF Facebook page constitutes acceptance of these conditions.
