CCWC 2026 and WDBRC 2027 locations announced

15th Club Crew World Championships (CCWC) 2026 – Liyu Lake, Hualien, Taiwan

Congratulations to the Chinese Taipei Dragon Boat Association (CTDBA) for securing their bid for the 2026 IDBF Club Crew World Championships, to be held at Liyu Lake in Hualien, Taiwan. It is the first time that an IDBF championship will be held in Taiwan. We look forward to the CTDBA in hosting a fantastic championships.

 


18th World Dragon Board Racing Championships (WDBRC) 2027 – Kwun Tong Promenade, Hong Kong, China.

The IDBF also wishes to congratulate the Hong Kong China Dragon Boat Association (HKCDBA) in their successful bid for the 2027 IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships to be held at the Kwun Tong Promenade, Hong Kong, China.

HKCDBA was awarded the championships in 2021 and 2023 and like many international sporting events, was impacted by the pandemic and COVID-19 restrictions. HKCDBA’s desire and commitment to once again play host to the most prestigious world dragon boat championships has come to fruition.

Hong Kong, China is the home of modern dragon boat racing and the world looks forward to coming back to this beautiful city once again.
